The Telangana High Court has directed the State government to relieve senior IPS officer A.V. Ranganath from his post as Commissioner of the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Protection Agency (HYDRAA), holding that the agency had wilfully disobeyed its earlier orders.
The direction came while hearing a case involving Shanta Sriram Constructions Private Limited, with the court taking serious note of the agency’s alleged non-compliance with judicial directives.

High Court Finds Wilful Disobedience
The High Court observed that HYDRAA had failed to comply with its earlier orders, amounting to wilful disobedience.
