Amit Garg has been appointed as Director of the Sardar Vallabbhai Patel National Police Academy (SVPNPA). Mr. Garg who is an IPS of Andhra Pradesh Cadre and 1993 batch was already serving as Additional Director, SVPNPA. He will be taking place of Mr. A S Rajan who is an IPS of 1987 batch and Bihar cadre. Mr Rajan has retired on Tuesday (28.02.2023).
The competent authority has approved the assignment of the additional charge of the post to Mr. Garg for a period of three months or till the appointment and joining of a regular incumbent or until further orders, whichever is earlier, said an order issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA),
