The Tamil Nadu government has issued transfer and posting orders for six senior IAS officers, effective immediately. The reshuffle covers key positions across various departments, with changes aimed at strengthening governance and administrative efficiency in the state.
Key Transfers and Postings:
C Samayamoorthy (IAS: 2002: TN) has been transferred from his role as Commissioner of Tourism and Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation. He will now serve as the Secretary, Human Resources Management Department.
Shilpa Prabhakar Satish (IAS: 2009: TN), currently the Mission Director for the National Health Mission, has been appointed as the Director of Tourism. In addition to her new role, she will also assume the position of Managing Director, Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation.
Dr. Atul Anand (IAS: 1994: TN), who has been serving as the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of Labour, will now take charge as the Principal Secretary of the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Department.
Satyabrata Sahoo (IAS: 1997: TN), who is currently the Chief Electoral Officer and Principal Secretary of the Public (Elections) Department, has been transferred to the Principal Secretary of the Animal Husbandry, Dairying, Fisheries and Fishermen Welfare Department.
Dr. M Aarthi (IAS: 2012: TN), State Project Director of Samagra Shiksha, has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary to the Deputy Chief Minister. She will also hold the additional charge as the State Project Director, Samagra Shiksha.
Dr. A Arun Thamburaj (IAS: 2013: TN), currently serving as the Project Director of the Tamil Nadu Health System Project, has been transferred and his services are placed at the disposal of the National Health Mission for appointment as its Mission Director. He will also continue to hold the additional charge as Project Director, Tamil Nadu Health System Project.
These transfers come as part of ongoing efforts by the Tamil Nadu government to optimize the performance of various departments and ensure effective administration.
