Tamil Nadu government promoted five 1994-batch IAS officers to the prestigious Chief Secretary grade. This move comes after the temporary sanction for the creation of Additional Chief Secretary rank posts.
The following officers have been promoted and their respective departments are as follows:
- P Amudha – Additional Chief Secretary, Revenue and Disaster Management Department, Chennai.
- Dr. Atul Anand – Additional Chief Secretary, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Department.
- Sudeep Jain – Currently on central deputation as Additional Secretary to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.
- Kakarla Usha – Additional Chief Secretary, Housing and Urban Development Department.
- Selvi Apoorva – Agriculture Production Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture-Farmers Welfare Department.
This promotion highlights the ongoing efforts of the Tamil Nadu government to strengthen its administrative framework, empowering experienced officers to take on more significant roles in governance and public administration.
