Chennai: The Tamil Nadu government on Friday (July 17, 2026) issued transfer and posting orders for two IAS officers, assigning them to new administrative responsibilities.
The reshuffle includes the appointment of R Lilly (IAS:2005:TN) as Commissioner, Stationery and Printing, while Dr R Sukumar (IAS:2019:TN) has been transferred to the Municipal Administration Department.
R Lilly Appointed Commissioner, Stationery & Printing
According to the government order, R Lilly (IAS:2005:TN), who was serving as Special Secretary to Government, Transport Department, has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Stationery and Printing.
She has been appointed to the post created temporarily under Rule 4(2) of the IAS (Cadre) Rules, 1954, replacing Dr R Sukumar.
Dr R Sukumar Posted to Municipal Administration
Dr R Sukumar (IAS:2019:TN), who was serving as Director, Stationery and Printing, has been transferred and appointed as Joint Commissioner, Municipal Administration.
The latest reshuffle is part of the Tamil Nadu government’s routine administrative exercise aimed at strengthening governance through strategic deployment of IAS officers across departments.
