The Tamil Nadu government has carried out a minor bureaucratic reshuffle, transferring and appointing three Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to key positions across the health, animal husbandry and civil supplies departments.
According to an official notification, IAS S.P. Amrith has been appointed as the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation (TNMSC). He replaces IAS H. Krishnanunni, who has been shifted to another important assignment.
KEY POSTINGS ANNOUNCED
Before his new appointment, Amrith served as the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, where he oversaw initiatives related to livestock development and veterinary healthcare in the state.
Meanwhile, IAS H. Krishnanunni, who was serving as the Managing Director of TNMSC, has now been posted as the Director of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services, taking over the position vacated by Amrith.
In another significant appointment, IAS Shilpa Prabhakar Satish, currently serving as the Commissioner of Labour, has been named the Managing Director of the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC). She succeeds IAS P. Umanath in the role.
FOCUS ON KEY PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENTS
The latest administrative reshuffle comes as the Tamil Nadu government continues to strengthen governance in departments responsible for public healthcare, food distribution and livestock management. The Tamil Nadu Medical Services Corporation plays a crucial role in procuring medicines and medical equipment for government hospitals, while the Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation oversees procurement and distribution of essential commodities under the Public Distribution System (PDS).
The transfers are expected to ensure continuity in governance while bringing fresh administrative leadership to these key public service institutions.
