Ranchi, Jharkhand: The historic Tapovan Temple is set for a major transformation as Chief Minister Hemant Soren reviewed the ongoing redevelopment and beautification plans during a meeting with the temple reconstruction committee at his official residence.
The meeting focused on the progress of the Shri Ram Janaki Tapovan Temple redevelopment project, which aims to restore and upgrade the temple into a major spiritual landmark.
Vision to Develop a Major Spiritual Landmark
During the discussion, CM Hemant Soren emphasized that Tapovan Temple is not only a historic heritage site but also a center of deep religious faith.
He assured full government support for its renovation and beautification, stating that the temple should be developed in a way that attracts devotees from across India and abroad.
The Chief Minister instructed officials and the committee to ensure world-class development standards while preserving the temple’s cultural and spiritual essence.
2029 Completion Target Set for Temple Construction
The temple reconstruction committee informed the Chief Minister that the foundation work has already been completed.
The full redevelopment project is expected to be completed by 2029.
The project is being designed under the guidance of renowned architect Ashish Sompura, who also played a key role in the architectural planning of the Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
Emphasis on Heritage Preservation and Modern Development
CM Soren highlighted the importance of balancing heritage preservation with modern infrastructure development.
He directed that the temple complex should be developed in a way that enhances its aesthetic appeal while maintaining its traditional identity.
Officials were instructed to ensure that the site becomes a major pilgrimage destination with improved facilities for devotees.
