The government of Telangana has recently orchestrated a minor IPS reshuffle in the state. Officer C V Anand (1991 batch), the incumbent Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, has been made the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, replacing Officer Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy (1994 batch).
Officer Sreenivasa Reddy has been posted as DG of Vigilance and Enforcement. IPS Vijay Kumar, the incumbent Additional DG of Police (Personnel), was transferred and posted as DG of ACB, according to an order issued by state Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari on Saturday.
IPS Mahesh M Bhagwat (1995 batch), presently posted as Additional DG (law and order), has been placed in full additional charge of the post of Additional DG (personnel and welfare), till further orders. Officer M Ramesh (2005 batch), IG of Police, Provisioning and Logistics, office of DGP, is placed in full additional charge of the post of IG of Police (Sports) till further orders. IPS Anand had earlier held the post of Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad.
