Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh is strengthening its focus on technology-led employment with the development of an IT Park in Ujjain. Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav said the project will provide young people with opportunities in employment, skill development, education and new technologies.
The Chief Minister made the remarks while inspecting the IT Park project in Ujjain. He said the expansion of the IT sector could also encourage new industries and enable young people to find employment opportunities closer to home.
IT Park Being Built in Two Phases
The Ujjain IT Park is being developed in two phases on around 2.16 hectares of land. The project has a proposed built-up area of 15,480 square metres, including 11,436 square metres earmarked for IT companies.
Dr Yadav directed officials to maintain construction quality and complete the project within the prescribed timeline.

Ujjain and Indore Targeted for Metropolitan Development
The Chief Minister said Ujjain and Indore are being developed as metropolitan cities, with infrastructure projects aimed at supporting education, technology, industries and employment.
He also stressed the importance of innovation and new technologies in improving the state’s economic performance. The government is monitoring development projects to ensure timely completion.
Development Projects Reviewed
During his visit, Dr Yadav also reviewed the progress of the PM Ekta Mall and Mahakal Bhakt Niwas being constructed on Indore Road. He directed officials to complete both projects at the earliest so they can benefit residents and visitors to Ujjain.
He also inspected the Mahamrityunjay Dwar on Indore Road and reviewed details related to its construction.
The IT Park and other infrastructure projects are part of the wider development push in Ujjain, with the city also preparing for the upcoming Simhastha Mahaparv. The focus is on strengthening modern infrastructure while expanding employment and economic opportunities for the city’s youth.
