Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has lauded the Union Budget 2026-27, describing it as a welfare-oriented blueprint for building a Viksit Bharat (Developed India). Presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on February 1, the budget outlines a clear roadmap for a modern, inclusive, and globally competitive India.
Focus on Youth Development and Education
CM Adityanath highlighted several initiatives aimed at empowering youth and promoting education:
- Construction of girls’ hostels in every district
- Establishment of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) institutions
- World-class infrastructure facilities to support students’ aspirations
These initiatives are expected to give a significant boost to education and career opportunities for the youth of Uttar Pradesh.

He noted that the budget aligns with the vision of “Development with Heritage”, balancing modernization with preservation of India’s cultural and intellectual heritage.
Strengthening Aatmanirbhar Bharat
CM Adityanath emphasized that the budget supports MSMEs, startups, and indigenous production, reinforcing the foundation of Aatmanirbhar Bharat (Self-Reliant India). He added that the budget promotes social justice, inclusive development, and good governance, paving the way for a stronger and more self-reliant India in the years to come.

The Chief Minister thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for presenting a visionary and welfare-oriented budget, which he said will benefit youth, entrepreneurs, and the overall development of the state and the nation.
