Lucknow/Greater Noida: Uttar Pradesh is set to highlight its rich agricultural legacy and modern innovations at the third edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025, taking place from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The mega event will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday and will be held under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The event is being viewed as a major opportunity for the state to position itself as a national and global hub for agricultural innovation, research, and enterprise.

1,000 Sq. Meter Pavilion to Spotlight Farming Technologies and Innovations

The Agriculture Department has been allotted a 1,000-square-meter exhibition area, which will showcase the state’s achievements in modern farming practices, new technologies, and innovations in agriculture. Visitors will witness how traditional farming is merging with cutting-edge tools like drones, precision farming equipment, and smart irrigation systems.

The pavilion will also feature participation from:

  • Five top agricultural universities
  • Uttar Pradesh Seed Development Corporation
  • International Rice Research Institute (IRRI), Varanasi
  • Leading agri-tech companies involved in seeds, fertilizers, agrochemicals, and equipment.
  • Empowering Farmers: FPOs to Take Center Stage

More than 15 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) from various districts including Prayagraj, Etah, Jhansi, Meerut, Saharanpur, Barabanki, Lucknow, and Gautam Budh Nagar will display their produce, machinery, and innovations.

These FPOs are expected to directly connect progressive farmers with national and international buyers, opening up new markets and trade avenues.

UPITS 2025 will feature:

  • 17 agricultural mechanization companies
  • 9 seed production firms
  • 8 fertilizer manufacturers
  • 8 agro-protection companies

These companies will exhibit state-of-the-art agricultural solutions—from drone sprayers and sensor-based tools to AI-powered monitoring systems.

Additionally, IIT Kanpur’s agricultural technology division and affiliated startups will showcase groundbreaking innovations, offering a futuristic look at farming in India.

Coordinated by the Agriculture Department for Seamless Experience

The Agriculture Department has taken a lead role in organizing this segment of UPITS 2025. It has appointed nodal officers across key domains, including:

  • Agricultural education
  • Seed development
  • Fertilizers and pesticides
  • Machinery and drone-based solutions

This streamlined coordination ensures a diverse yet cohesive representation of the state’s agricultural prowess.

UPITS 2025: One Platform, Many Opportunities

UPITS 2025 promises to be more than just an exhibition—it will be a platform for partnerships, collaborations, and investments. The convergence of universities, startups, farmers, and corporations under one roof aims to accelerate Uttar Pradesh’s transformation into an agri-tech powerhouse.

“From traditional crops to cutting-edge farming tools, UP is telling the world: we are ready for the future of agriculture,” said a senior agriculture department official.
