UP Govt Announces Major IAS Reshuffle: 13 Officers Transferred, Ministhy S Appointed New Finance Secretary

In a sweeping administrative overhaul, the Uttar Pradesh government has transferred 13 IAS officers, signaling a significant shift in the state’s bureaucratic landscape.

2003 batch IAS officer Ministhy S. has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Finance Department, taking on a crucial role in managing the state’s financial affairs.

In a another notable change, 2017 batch IAS officer Anita Yadav, who previously served as Vice-Chairperson of the Agra Development Authority and Regional Food Controller, has been placed on waiting status.

2008 batch IAS Officer K Vijayendra Pandian, who was previously awaiting assignment, has now been designated as Commissioner and Director of Industries, Handloom, Textile Industries, and several other key positions. His new responsibilities include overseeing the Uttar Pradesh State Textile Corporation Limited and the Cooperative Spinning Mills Federation Limited.

2016 batch IAS officer Annapurna Garg, formerly the ACEO of Greater Noida, has been appointed as Special Secretary in the Appointment and Personnel Department.

While Ms M. Arunmozhi, an IAS officer of 2017 batch and the CDO of Gonda, will now serve as Vice-Chairperson of the Agra Development Authority.

Ms Akanksha Rana, also an IAS officer of 2017 batch and she was posted as CDO of Aligarh and Regional Food Controller, has been assigned as Special Officer for the Kumbh Mela Authority.

Ramya R, the CDO of Bahraich, has been promoted to Special Secretary in the Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department. Mukesh Chandra, a promotee iAS officer and previously the Joint Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation, is now the CDO of Bahraich.

2021 batch IAS officer Ankita Jain, Joint Magistrate of Kushinagar, will assume the role of CDO of Gonda.

Further adjustments include 2020 batch IAS officer Navneet Sehara, who will move from CDO of Pratapgarh to Joint Managing Director of the Uttar Pradesh Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation Limited.

2015 batch IAS officer Arvind Singh, previously awaiting assignment, has been appointed Additional Land Management Commissioner in the Revenue Council. Dr. Divya Mishra, formerly Joint Magistrate of Bulandshahr, will take on the role of CDO of Pratapgarh, and Prakhar Kumar Singh, Joint Magistrate of Kanpur Nagar, has been named CDO of Aligarh.

This comprehensive reshuffle reflects the Uttar Pradesh government’s ongoing efforts to refine administrative processes and boost the efficiency of its governance mechanisms.
