Davos: DPIFS Solutions Private Limited, led by Darpan Jayraj Kale, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to implement large-scale AI-enabled smart traffic management and urban surveillance systems across multiple cities in the state. The agreement was executed on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026, under the Invest UP initiative.
The project envisages a total investment of approximately ₹3,800 crore and aims to generate over 500 direct and indirect employment opportunities. The initiative is expected to commence in the financial year 2026-27, marking a significant step in UP’s transformation into a technology-driven smart state.
Project Scope and Key Features
The MoU outlines the design, development, installation, integration, operation, and maintenance of advanced Smart Traffic Management Systems (STMS) and urban surveillance infrastructure. Key components include:
- Adaptive traffic signal systems for smoother traffic flow
- Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) and traffic violation detection platforms
- Integrated Command and Control Centres (ICCC) for real-time monitoring
- Smart poles, edge AI cameras, and digital variable message signboards
- Public information display screens and comprehensive urban surveillance networks
The systems are planned to be implemented on a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) or Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model in major cities including Lucknow, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Agra, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and other smart cities across Uttar Pradesh.

Government Support and Incentives
Through the Invest UP initiative, the UP government will facilitate the project by providing:
- Necessary permissions, registrations, and approvals
