HAL Secures ₹1,800+ Crore Contract with Pawan Hans for 10 Dhruv NG Helicopters, Delivery by 2027

Hyderabad: Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has signed a significant contract with Pawan Hans Limited for the supply of 10 Dhruv NG helicopters, with the total contract value exceeding ₹1,800 crore. The agreement was executed in Hyderabad and includes the supply of helicopters along with associated spares, accessories, and related equipment. Delivery of all helicopters is scheduled to be completed by 2027.

Contract Overview

The contract, awarded by Pawan Hans Ltd, Noida, is a domestic order that reinforces HAL’s position in India’s civil helicopter segment. The scope of the order includes:

  • Supply of 10 Dhruv NG helicopters
  • Necessary spares and accessories
  • Associated equipment required for operation and maintenance

HAL clarified that the order does not involve any related party transactions, and neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in Pawan Hans Limited.

Financial and Strategic Significance

The contract, valued at over ₹1,800 crore, is a major addition to HAL’s domestic order book and underscores the company’s growing presence in indigenous aerospace manufacturing. Pawan Hans, a key helicopter services provider in India, will benefit from HAL’s advanced Dhruv NG platform, designed to meet modern civil aviation requirements.

This collaboration also highlights HAL’s strategic focus on strengthening India’s civil aviation and helicopter services sector, while promoting the use of domestically manufactured aircraft in line with government initiatives supporting Make in India and self-reliant aviation capabilities.

Delivery Timeline and Execution

The supply of all 10 helicopters, along with spares and accessories, is expected to be completed by 2027. HAL will oversee the production, integration, and delivery of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards required for civil aviation services.

The announcement was made pursuant to SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and disclosed to both BSE Limited (Scrip Code: 541154) and National Stock Exchange of India (Symbol: HAL).
