Lucknow: Following a significant administrative reshuffle in Uttar Pradesh earlier this week, the state government on Thursday evening ordered the transfer of five senior police officers, including three IPS and two PPS officers. The reshuffle is seen as a strategic move aimed at enhancing administrative speed and improving police management.

Key Transfers of IPS Officers

Mr Rohan P. Kanay (IPS, 2009 batch), Deputy Inspector General of Police and Principal of PTS Gorakhpur, has been placed on the waiting list and sent to the Director General of Police headquarters. Previously, he served as DIG and Principal at the Police Training School (PTS) Gorakhpur.

Ms Poonam (IPS, 2010 batch) takes on the role of DIG/Principal in Meerut PTS. She was earlier posted as DIG in the PAC section in Agra.

Mr Satendra Kumar (IPS, 2010 batch) has been transferred to Lucknow Headquarters as waiting DIG. Earlier, he was serving as DIG in Meerut PTS.

PPS Officers Also Get New Responsibilities

Anil Kumar has been posted as Principal-in-Charge of PTS Gorakhpur.

Niharika Sharma has been transferred from the Central Reserve Store in Kanpur Nagar to Gorakhpur, where she has been appointed Commander-in-Charge of the 26th Battalion PAC.

Immediate Effect and Broader Administrative Changes

The government has directed all transferred officers to assume their new responsibilities with immediate effect. These transfers come in the wake of earlier administrative upheavals, including the transfer of three IAS and six PCS officers announced on Tuesday, signaling a broader effort to strengthen governance in the state.

Recent Transfers of IAS, PCS

Earlier on Tuesday, three IAS officers and six PCS officers were transferred. Vinod Kumar Gaur, who was promoted from PCS to IAS, has been appointed Chief Development Officer (CDO) Farrukhabad, moving from his previous post as Deputy Secretary at the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission, Prayagraj. Arvind Kumar Mishra, the former CDO Farrukhabad, has been made Additional Director of Information. Dr. Alka Verma has been appointed Director (Administration) of Medical and Health Services.

Among the PCS officers, Gaurav Ranjan Srivastava, ADM (Development) Bahraich, has been transferred to Deputy Secretary at the UP Public Service Commission, Prayagraj. Amit Kumar II, ADM (City East) Lucknow, has been posted as ADM (Development) Bahraich. Mahendra Pal Singh, ADM (Development) Auraiya, has been assigned as ADM (City East) Lucknow, while Avinash Chandra Maurya, Deputy Director of Mandi Parishad Lucknow, has been posted as ADM (Development) Auraiya. Narendra Singh, SDM Moradabad, has been appointed Deputy Director of Mandi Parishad Lucknow. Lastly, Garima Swaroop, Joint Director of Child Development Nutrition Directorate and Additional Charge Deputy Secretary, has been made Special Executive Officer to the Chief Election Officer, Lucknow.
