New Delhi: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has declared the result of the written part of the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2026, held on July 19, 2026.

Candidates whose roll numbers have been included in the result have qualified for the next stage of the recruitment process — the Physical Standards Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

However, the candidature of all candidates who have qualified at this stage remains provisional, subject to their fulfilling all eligibility conditions.

Qualified Candidates Must Complete Online Updation Process

UPSC has said that candidates who have qualified for the PST/PET will be provided a 15-day window after declaration of the written result to log in to the designated UPSC portal and complete the mandatory updation process.

During this period, candidates will have to update their details and educational qualification status, including whether they are appearing or have appeared in the required qualifying examination.

They will also have to upload documentary proof supporting their educational qualification and other claims.

Candidates who fail to complete the mandatory online process within the prescribed window will not be permitted to participate in subsequent stages of the examination, and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained by UPSC.

Details Candidates Need to Update

In addition to educational qualification details, candidates, wherever applicable, will have to update and submit information relating to several aspects of their personal, educational and service background.

These include:

  • Correspondence and permanent postal address
  • Higher educational qualifications
  • Achievements in different fields
  • Employment details and service experience
  • Details of services allocated through previous CAPF Assistant Commandants examinations
  • Preference of forces for CAPF AC 2026
  • Marital status and parental details
  • Debarment information
  • Earlier examination details
  • OBC/EWS annexure, wherever applicable
  • Socio-economic questionnaire

Candidates will also have to submit their Online Application Form after completing the required updation.

Even Candidates With No Changes Must Login

UPSC has specifically clarified that candidates who had already uploaded the required documents and information while filling the Common Application Form (CAF) and have nothing further to update must also log in during the updation window.

Such candidates are required to verify their details and finally submit the Online Application Form.

They must also print the submitted application form, which will be required at the time of the PST/PET.

The final submission will also be necessary for generating the e-Summon letter/e-Admit Card for the Personality Test/Interview.

Failure to complete this mandatory process will make the candidate ineligible to participate in further stages of the examination.

SSB to Conduct Physical Tests

The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), nominated as the nodal authority by the Ministry of Home Affairs, will conduct the Physical Standards Test and Physical Efficiency Test for candidates who qualify in the written examination.

SSB will separately intimate candidates about the date, time and venue of their PST/PET.

The schedule and related information will be uploaded on the SSB recruitment website, while candidates will also receive communication through their registered email IDs.

Candidates have been advised to regularly check the SSB website and their email inboxes, including the spam folder.

E-Admit Cards for PST/PET

Candidates who qualify for the physical tests will be issued e-Admit Cards by SSB.

For appearing in the PST/PET, candidates will have to carry their e-Admit Card along with:

  • Hard copy of the finally submitted DAF/Online Application Form
  • Photo identity proof such as Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Voter ID Card

Candidates are required to report at the examination centre allotted to them with these documents.

What If a Candidate Does Not Receive the E-Admit Card?

Candidates who do not receive or are unable to download their PST/PET e-Admit Card within the stipulated time have been advised to contact the HQ, DG, Sashastra Seema Bal immediately.

They can contact SSB at 011-26193929 or through the designated recruitment email IDs provided in the UPSC notice.

Candidates may also contact UPSC through letter or fax to facilitate timely delivery of communication.

Original Certificates to Be Produced

The candidature of candidates who have qualified for PST/PET remains provisional.

They will eventually be required to produce their original certificates supporting their eligibility and reservation claims at the time of the Personality Test.

These include documents relating to:

  • Age
  • Educational qualification
  • Community/category
  • Economically Weaker Section (EWS) status
  • Other applicable eligibility and reservation claims

Candidates seeking benefits or relaxation available to SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen and other categories must produce the relevant original certificates issued by the closing date of the CAPF AC 2026 application, which was March 12, 2026.

Marksheets of Non-Qualified Candidates

UPSC has also clarified that the marksheets of candidates who do not qualify in the written examination will be uploaded on the Commission’s website after publication of the final result, following completion of the Personality Test.

The marksheets will remain available online for 30 days.

Candidates will be able to access their marksheets by entering their roll number and date of birth.

Those seeking a printed or hard copy of their marksheet may submit a specific request to UPSC along with a self-addressed stamped envelope. Such requests must be made within 30 days of the marks being displayed on the Commission’s website.

Candidates Can Contact UPSC for Clarifications

UPSC has a Facilitation Counter at its campus for examination-related information and clarification.

Candidates can approach the counter on working days between 10 AM and 5 PM or contact UPSC on:

011-24041001 / 011-40303444

Candidates have also been reminded that mobile phones are banned on the UPSC campus.

CAPF AC 2026 Selection Process Ahead

The written examination held on July 19, 2026, is the first major stage for candidates appearing for the CAPF Assistant Commandants recruitment.

Those qualifying in the written examination will proceed to the PST/PET, followed by the subsequent stages of the recruitment process, including the Personality Test/Interview.

The final selection will be based on the prescribed recruitment procedure and the candidates’ fulfilment of all eligibility requirements.
