The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the results of the eagerly anticipated Civil Services Prelims 2023 examination today, June 12. All the applicants can view their results for the UPSC Civil Services preliminary test on the official website, upsc.gov.in.
Approximately 13 lakh students appeared for the UPSC prelims 2023 exam. According to the official data, a total of 14,624 candidates have qualified to appear for the next round, which is the UPSC Mains exam 2023. Those who qualify will now appear for mains which will be held from September 15.

The candidature of these candidates is provisional. In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the Detailed Application Form-I (DAF-I) for the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023. The dates and important instructions for filling up of the DAF-I and its submission will be announced in due course.
“Candidates are also informed that marks, cut-off marks and answer keys of the CS (P) Examination, 2023 will be uploaded on the Commission’s website i.e. https://upsc.gov.in only after the entire process of the Civil Services Examination, 2023 is over i.e. after the declaration of the final result,” read the official notice.
On May 28, UPSC held the UPSC Civil Services preliminary examination which was held at 79 exam centres across India for a total of 1255 vacancies. In Prelims 2022, approx 11.52 lakh aspirants appeared for the UPSC CS Preliminary examination out of which 13090 qualified for the Mains. The number of qualified candidates has substantially increased in 2023.
