Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has launched ‘One Time Registration’ (OTR) platform. With its introduction, candidates will now be less likely to make further mistakes in filling their registration forms. The facility of one time registration has started from 18th August 2022.
The OTR will be quite useful for the candidates as it will not only save them from filling in their basic personal details again for any subsequent examination being conducted by the UPSC.
UPSC OTR
UPSC conducts many examinations for recruitment in different departments of the central government. It includes exams like Civil Service Exam (CSE), National Defense Academy (NDA) and Combined Defense Service (CDS), Combined Medical Service (CMS), Engineering Service (IES).
In such a situation, every time the complete form has to be filled for these exams, in which there are chances of mistake. One Time Registration will make this whole process easy. In this, you have to register only once and fill all the details there. After this, whenever you apply for any exam, you just have to enter the necessary information related to that exam.
DETAILS PREFILLED
The official notification issued by the UPSC states that “about 70% of the candidates’ information in the OTR will be automatically prefilled in the online application form for the examination, thereby significantly reducing the time taken for filling or submitting the online application form.”
