Lucknow: The Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission (UPSDM) and STEMLearn.AI, an initiative of Mumbai-based Teevra EduTech Private Limited, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to expand training in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Machine Learning and Data Science for the state’s youth.
The agreement, signed on August 15, 2026, is aimed at creating a sustained skilling pathway for learners associated with UPSDM, including students under Project Praveen, and connecting them with national-level technology and innovation platforms.
Five-Year Skilling Partnership
The collaboration is structured as a five-year partnership, with the focus extending beyond one-time training programmes to building a wider skilling ecosystem in emerging technologies.
Key Areas Under the MoU
Training in AI, Robotics, Machine Learning and Data Science.
- Access to STEMLearn.AI’s digital learning platform for self-paced learning and assessment.
- Curriculum development and deployment of trainers by STEMLearn.AI.
- Training-of-Trainers and faculty development for UPSDM instructors and Project Praveen teachers.
- Coordination with participating skilling centres and Project Praveen schools.
- Access to classroom and ICT infrastructure through participating institutions.
- A national competition pathway through the AI Olympiad and SparkX – AI Challenge.
- Opportunities for selected learners to participate in the SparkX Grand Finale at Techfest, IIT Bombay.
Project Praveen Learners to Get Technology-Focused Pathway
The partnership will include learners from Project Praveen, a school-linked skilling initiative in Uttar Pradesh. The programme is intended to provide students with exposure to emerging technologies along with structured learning, training and assessment.
STEMLearn.AI said the collaboration will also provide a recurring pathway for UPSDM and Project Praveen students in Grades 9–12 to participate in the National AI Olympiad and SparkX AI Challenge.
STEMLearn.AI currently describes SparkX as a national innovation challenge in which students work on AI, robotics and physical-computing projects, with finalists getting an opportunity to showcase their work at Techfest, IIT Bombay.
Roles of UPSDM and STEMLearn.AI
Under the partnership, UPSDM will support learner mobilisation, coordinate with participating skilling centres and Project Praveen schools, and facilitate access to classroom and ICT infrastructure.
STEMLearn.AI will lead curriculum development, platform access and trainer deployment, besides coordinating the AI Olympiad and SparkX pathways in collaboration with its academic and institutional partners.
Focus on Future-Ready Skills
UPSDM Mission Director Pulkit Khare, a 2011-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre, said:

STEMLearn.AI Founder and CEO Vivek Varshney said the five-year collaboration is intended to build sustained skilling infrastructure in AI, Robotics and emerging technologies across Project Praveen schools and skilling centres.
Academic Partnerships and National Innovation Platforms
STEMLearn.AI’s academic ecosystem includes a knowledge and research partnership with IIIT Allahabad. The organisation also conducts the AI Olympiad and SparkX AI Challenge in collaboration with institutional partners including Techfest, IIT Bombay.
The partnership is expected to give young learners in Uttar Pradesh access to structured technology training, digital learning resources, trainer support and national-level innovation opportunities.
