Lucknow/New Delhi: In a significant step towards sustainable industrial growth, the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA) and Central Electronics Limited (CEL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Friday to develop sustainable and smart industrial infrastructure across the state. This partnership aims to accelerate eco-friendly industrial development and support Uttar Pradesh’s ambitious goal of achieving net-zero emissions.
Partnership to Drive Renewable Energy Solutions in Industrial Zones
Under the MoU, UPSIDA and CEL will collaborate to implement renewable energy solutions, primarily focusing on solar energy, within industrial areas. This initiative is expected to reduce carbon footprints and promote clean energy adoption in the state’s industrial ecosystem.
Enhancing Industrial Zones with Smart Infrastructure
The agreement also includes upgrading industrial zones with modern smart surveillance technologies such as CCTV, access control systems, public address systems, and a centralized monitoring dashboard. These upgrades aim to improve security, operational efficiency, and overall infrastructure management.
Promoting Sustainable Mobility Through EV Charging Stations
A key highlight of the MoU is the establishment of Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations across industrial areas in Uttar Pradesh. This will promote sustainable mobility and encourage the integration of EVs with renewable energy, fostering a greener industrial environment.
Focus on Infrastructure Modernization and Capacity Building
The partnership further encompasses the modernization of industrial infrastructure along with capacity building and training programs tailored for industries and stakeholders. These initiatives are designed to equip the industrial workforce with the skills and knowledge needed to adapt to sustainable and smart industrial practices.
