Uttarakhand: 32 IAS Officers Reshuffled; Check Full List Here

Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu (IAS:1997:UK), Principal Secretary to CM; Principal Secretary, Revenue and Principal Secretary, Forest, Environment Conservation and Climate Change, has been relieved of the charge of Principal Secretary, Revenue.

In a major reshuffle the Uttarakhand government reassigned fresh charges to 32 IAS officers. Some officers have been relieved of a few departmental responsibilities, others have been given new departments in addition to their current duties, and a few have been transferred to new posts.

The names of the officers and their postings are as follows:

  • Ramesh Kumar Sudhanshu (IAS:1997:UK), Principal Secretary to CM; Principal Secretary, Revenue and Principal Secretary, Forest, Environment Conservation and Climate Change, has been relieved of the charge of Principal Secretary, Revenue.
  • Lalrinliana Fanai (IAS:1997:UK), Principal Secretary, Minority Welfare; Principal Secretary; Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection; Principal Secretary, Excise; Chairman, Minority Welfare and Waqf Development Corporation and Chairman, Transport Corporation, has been relieved of the charges of Principal Secretary, Minority Welfare and Chairman, Minority Welfare and Waqf Development Corporation.
  • R Meenakshi (IAS:2001:UK), Secretary to CM; Secretary, Energy & Renewable Energy; Secretary, Labour; Secretary, Planning; Secretary, Housing; Commissioner, Housing; Chief Administrator, Uttarakhand Housing and Urban Development Authority; CEO, Haridwar Rishikesh Ganga Corridor Project; Chairman, Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board and MD, Uttarakhand Investment and Infrastructure Development Board (UIIDB), has been relieved of the charges of Secretary to CM; Secretary, Labour and Chairman, Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  • Shailesh Bagauli (IAS:2002:UK), Secretary to CM; Secretary, Mantri Parishad (Gopan); Secretary, Higher Education; Secretary, Information; Secretary, Home & Jail and Secretary, Drinking Water, has been relieved of the charge of Secretary, Higher Education.
  • Ravinath Raman (IAS:2004:UK), Secretary, School Education (Primary & Secondary) and Secretary, Governor, has been assigned charge of two more departments i.e. Secretary, Higher Education and Secretary, Ayush and Ayush Education.
  • Pankaj Kumar Pandey (IAS:2005:UK), Secretary, PWD; Secretary, Ayush and Ayush Education and Chairman, Bridge Ropeway Tunnel And Other Infrastructure Development Corporation of Uttarakhand, has been relieved of the charge of Secretary, Ayush and Ayush Education. Further, he has been assigned charges of Secretary, Labour and Chairman, Uttarakhand Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  • Ranjit Kumar Sinha (IAS:2005:UK), Secretary, Technical Education, has been given charges of Secretary, Minority Welfare and Chairman, Minority Welfare and Waqf Development Corporation.
  • Hari Chandra Sempal (IAS:2005:UK), Secretary, Endowment and Culture Department; DG, Culture and Commissioner, Food, has been given charge of Excise Department as Commissioner.
  • Vinay Shankar Pandey (IAS:2007:UK), Secretary to CM; Secretary, Industrial Development; Secretary, MSME; Investment Commissioner, New Delhi; Commissioner, Garhwal Division with additional charge of Pauri; MD, Uttarakhand Industrial Development Corporation (SIIDCUL); DG/Commissioner, Industry and CEO, Uttarakhand Khadi and Village Industries Board, has been relieved of the charges of MD, Uttarakhand Industrial Development Corporation (SIIDCUL); DG/Commissioner, Industry and CEO, Uttarakhand Khadi and Village Industries Board.
  • Surendra Narayan Pandey (IAS:2007:UK), Secretary to CM and Secretary, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, has been given charge of Secretary, Revenue in addition to his present duty.
  • Deepak Rawat (IAS:2007:UK), Commissioner, Kumaon Division, has been given charge of Secretary to CM in addition to his present duty.
  • Savin Bansal (IAS:2009:UK), Additional Secretary, Rural Development and Commissioner, Rural Development, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate, Dehradun.
  • C Ravishankar (IAS:2009:UK), Additional Secretary, Civil Aviation; Additional Secretary, Finance (Additional Charge); Additional Secretary, Skill Development and Employment and CEO, UCADA, has been removed from holding the charge of CEO, UCADA.
  • Yugal Kishore Pant (IAS:2009:UK), Additional Secretary, Tourism and CEO of Tourism Development Board, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Panchayati Raj and Director, Swajal.
  • Dhiraj Singh Garbyal (IAS:2009:UK), District Magistrate, Haridwar, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Rural Development and Additional Secretary, PWD.
  • Sonika (IAS:2010:UK), District Magistrate, Dehradun, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Cooperative; Registrar, Cooperative and CEO, UCADA.
  • Dr. Iqbal (IAS:2010:UK), Additional Secretary, Finance and Additional Secretary, Energy, has been given charge of CEO, Uttarkhand Khandi & Village Industries Board in addition to his present duty.
  • Karmendra Singh (IAS:2011:UK), Additional Secretary, Personnel and Vigilance; Additional Secretary, Drinking Water and CEO, PMGSY, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate, Haridwar.
  • Rani Joshi (IAS:2013:UK), District Magistrate, Pithoragarh, has been transferred and posted as Additional Secretary, Personnel and Vigilance and Additional Secretary, Irrigation and Minor Irrigation.
  • Vineet Tomar (IAS:2014:UK), District Magistrate, Almora, has been transferred and posted as MD, KMVN.

  • Himanshu Khurana (IAS:2015:UK), District Magistrate, Chamoli, has been transferred and posted as CEO, PMGSY and Secretary, Right to Service Commission.

  • Prashant Kumar Arya (IAS:2017:UK), Additional Secretary, Child Development; Additional Secretary, Women Welfare; Director, ICDS; Director, Women Welfare and Commissioner, Excise, has been relieved of the charge of Commissioner, Excise. He has been given charge of MD, GMVN.
  • Sandeep Tiwari (IAS:2017:UK), MD, KMVN, has been transferred and posted as District Magistrate, Chamoli.
