IPS Arun Mohan Joshi has become the youngest Inspector General of Police (IG) in the country. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami conferred the batch of IG on Mr. Joshi in a ceremony in Uttarakhand. He has taken place Gaurav Rajput who has become IG at the age of 41 while Mr. Joshi is 40 years old.
The officer who has held many important responsibilities including the SP of Dehradun was also one of the the youngest IPS of the country at the age of 23 years. He is an IPS officer of 2006 batch. Earlier, he served as DIG, Vigilance and DIG PAC/ATC, Uttarakhand.
