Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions of around ₹86 crore for various development and construction works across different districts of the state.
The approved funds cover road construction, temple beautification, construction of a clock tower in Doiwala and financial support for Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
₹97 Lakh Approved for Clock Tower in Doiwala
A financial sanction of ₹97 lakh has been approved for the construction of a clock tower in the Athoorwala Tehri Displaced Area of the Doiwala Assembly constituency in Dehradun district.
The project is aimed at supporting local infrastructure and development in the area.
₹80 Crore Approved for Pantnagar University
The Chief Minister has also approved the release of ₹80 crore as the second instalment for salary, allowances and other expenses of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
The amount is being released against the already approved provision of ₹150 crore.
₹3.34 Crore for Temple Beautification in Ranikhet
In Almora district, ₹3.34 crore has been approved for the beautification of several temples in the Ranikhet Assembly constituency.
The approved works include beautification of:
- Dubhana Ancient Chamuthan Temple
- Jhula Devi Temple
- Shiva Temple
- Billekh Devi Temple
- Chamarkhan Gyel Devta Temple
- Khushalkot Shiva Temple
₹49.64 Lakh Approved for Road Construction in Pithoragarh
In the Pithoragarh Assembly constituency, ₹49.64 lakh has been sanctioned for construction of a CC railing road from Nyaya Panchayat Bisabajed to village Vipul.
The project is part of the approved development works aimed at improving local connectivity and infrastructure.
Development Works Approved in Chamoli
Several religious and infrastructure-related works have also received financial approval in the Tharali Assembly constituency of Chamoli district.
The sanctioned amounts include:
- ₹19.56 lakh for beautification of Dhiyosingh Dham Temple in Sutol.
- ₹9.93 lakh for beautification of Goria Raja Temple in Ramni.
- ₹33.72 lakh for the remaining work of the newly constructed dharamshala near Maa Girija Bhawani Temple in Chopta Chauri.
- ₹20.24 lakh for beautification of Meengeshwar Temple in Meeng village.
- ₹39.62 lakh for beautification of Mahadev Temple in Kaub village.
These projects are expected to support the development of religious sites and improve facilities for local communities and visitors.
Focus on Infrastructure and Religious Tourism
The latest approvals cover a range of development priorities, including road connectivity, public infrastructure, educational institution funding and improvement of religious sites.
The allocation for temple beautification and dharamshala works in Chamoli and Almora is also expected to contribute to better facilities around important local religious destinations.
