Uttarakhand CM Dhami Approves Nearly Rs 150 Crore for Education, Drinking Water and Tourism Projects

The approved funds include Rs 113.15 crore for the Sahastradhara Drinking Water Scheme, Rs 33.54 crore for Bharsar University and Rs 1.05 crore for Dundeshwar Mahadev Temple beautification.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved financial sanctions worth nearly Rs 150 crore for various development projects related to education, drinking water and religious tourism across the state. The approvals are expected to accelerate ongoing projects and strengthen basic infrastructure in different parts of Uttarakhand.

The financial sanctions aim to support important development and construction works, improve drinking water facilities and promote religious tourism in the state.

Rs 33.54 Crore Approved for Bhashar Horticulture and Forestry University

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has approved a proposal to provide Rs 33.54 crore from the State Contingency Fund for the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Bharsar.

The funds will help speed up essential development and construction works related to the university.

The approval is expected to:

  • Support essential development works at the university.
  • Accelerate construction-related projects.
  • Strengthen infrastructure and facilities at the institution.

Rs 1.05 Crore Sanctioned for Dundeshwar Mahadev Temple

The Uttarakhand government has also approved Rs 1.05 crore for the beautification of the Dundeshwar Mahadev Temple located at Kholakdakot in the Kirti Nagar development block of the Devprayag Assembly constituency in Tehri Garhwal district.

The temple beautification project is aimed at promoting religious tourism in the region. It is also expected to improve facilities and provide better convenience for devotees visiting the temple.

Rs 2.69 Crore Approved for Pau Pumping Scheme

The government has placed special emphasis on strengthening drinking water infrastructure in the state.

For this purpose, Rs 2.69 crore has been approved for the strengthening of the Pau Pumping Scheme under the Champawat Branch in the Lohaghat development block of Champawat district.

The funds will be used for:

  • Improving the existing drinking water system.
  • Strengthening the capacity of the pumping scheme.
  • Improving water supply facilities in the area.

Rs 113.15 Crore Sanctioned for Sahastradhara Drinking Water Scheme

The largest financial approval has been given under the AMRUT 2.0 scheme for the Sahastradhara Drinking Water Scheme.

The state government has sanctioned Rs 113.15 crore for the project. The scheme is expected to play an important role in improving drinking water infrastructure and ensuring a better and more regular water supply to a large population.

Focus on Infrastructure and Religious Tourism Development

The financial approvals announced by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami are being seen as an important step towards accelerating development works and expanding basic infrastructure across Uttarakhand.

The approved funds cover key areas, including:

  • Education: Rs 33.54 crore for Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Uttarakhand University of Horticulture and Forestry, Bharsar.
