Haridwar: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has emphasized that all saints and spiritual leaders should be included in the preparations and participation of Kumbh 2027, ensuring the religious gathering is both divine and grand. The announcement comes after concerns were raised by ascetics associated with various ashrams regarding the limited inclusion of only Akharas in preparatory meetings.
Focus on Making Kumbh 2027 Divine and Grand
Speaking about the upcoming Kumbh, CM Dhami highlighted that the 2021 Kumbh was significantly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, which restricted participation and disrupted the event. “This time, the Kumbh must be celebrated in a manner befitting its spiritual and cultural importance. All saints should be involved to ensure that the event is truly divine and majestic,” he said.
Addressing Concerns of Saints and Ashrams
Earlier, several saints associated with ashrams had expressed discontent over preparatory meetings being attended only by representatives of Akharas. CM Dhami’s statement seeks to address these concerns and reassure all spiritual communities that their voices and participation will be recognized in the planning and execution of the event.
