Dehradun: Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Uttarakhand has once again secured significant financial incentives from the central government for its exceptional performance and continuous reforms in the mining sector. The Ministry of Mines has granted the state an additional ₹100 crore under the Special Assistance Scheme for Capacity Improvement (SASCI) for the year 2025-26, specifically for Minor Minerals Reforms.
Earlier, in October 2025, the state received another ₹100 crore for securing the second position in the SMRI ranking. With this latest allocation, Uttarakhand has now received a total incentive of ₹200 crore, reflecting its exemplary reforms and policy measures in the mining sector.
State Achieves Top Rank in National Mining Reforms
Uttarakhand’s proactive approach in implementing mining reforms and business-friendly policies has propelled it to the number one position in the country’s mining sector. According to the latest notification released on November 18, 2025, the state successfully implemented six out of seven key reforms under the Minor Mineral Reforms framework. This timely and effective execution has earned Uttarakhand the top spot in the national rankings.
Mining Reforms Boost State Revenue and Employment Opportunities
The transparent and investor-friendly policies introduced by the Uttarakhand government have strengthened the state’s revenue collection from the mining sector. Robust management and strategic reforms have not only bolstered government finances but also created widespread employment opportunities.
