Bastar on the Path to Development
CM Sai emphasized that the state government is fully committed to the development and welfare of tribal communities. He stated that with the guidance and support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Bastar, which remained largely untouched by development for nearly 40 years and was affected by Naxalism, is now seeing rapid positive change.
“The government’s efforts are focused on bringing lasting peace and economic growth to the region,” CM Sai said, highlighting the success of various initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life for tribal residents.
“Adi Parab”: Celebrating Tribal Heritage
The theme of this year’s Adi Parab was “From Tradition to Identity”, showcasing Chhattisgarh’s rich tribal culture, art, and traditions. The festival brought together artists and performers not only from Chhattisgarh but also from Telangana, Odisha, Maharashtra, and Jharkhand.
People from 43 different tribal communities of Chhattisgarh participated, reflecting the state’s cultural diversity and heritage on a single platform. CM Sai highlighted that such events help strengthen tribal identity and provide national and international recognition for indigenous arts and culture.
Golden Book of World Records Recognition
CM Sai congratulated the organizing department for the success of the festival. The Adi Parab tribal artwork and traditional attire were recognized in the Golden Book of World Records, an honor that underscores Chhattisgarh’s international recognition for tribal art and craftsmanship.
TRTI Campus Student Hostel Inauguration
As part of the event, CM Sai inaugurated a new 100-seat student hostel at the TRTI campus, constructed at a cost of ₹5 crore. The hostel aims to provide enhanced opportunities for higher education and research to tribal youth, ensuring better access to academic resources and fostering skill development among future generations.
The Chief Minister emphasized that education is a key tool for empowerment, and the government is committed to creating infrastructure that supports tribal youth in achieving academic excellence and professional growth.
Promoting Tribal Welfare and Prosperity
CM Sai reiterated that the government’s focus on tribal welfare is central to Chhattisgarh’s development agenda. By combining cultural preservation, education, and economic opportunities, the state aims to ensure that tribal communities benefit fully from progress while remaining an integral part of the state’s growth story.
