Jhumka: Chhattisgarh‘s Chief Minister, Vishnu Deo Sai, has taken a significant step in boosting the tourism potential of the state with the inauguration of a 500-capacity open theater at the picturesque Jhumka Reservoir in Korea district. This development is set to not only enhance the tourism experience but also create new avenues for local youth employment.
Inauguration of the 500-Capacity Open Theater
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai inaugurated the newly constructed open theater at the Jhumka Reservoir, a project funded by the Panchayat and Rural Development Department. Built at a cost of approximately ₹27 lakh, the open-air theater boasts a seating capacity for 500 people. This venue will now serve as a hub for cultural events, local artists, and a platform to showcase regional talent.
Enjoying the Scenic Beauty and Shikara Ride at Jhumka Reservoir
Amidst the tranquil waters and lush greenery, Chief Minister Sai indulged in a serene Shikara boat ride. The Chief Minister praised the newly developed water sports facilities at the reservoir, which offer a range of adventure activities for tourists. The area, known for its scenic beauty and lotus flowers, was described as an ideal spot for picnics and family outings.
Tourism as a Catalyst for Local Youth Employment
Emphasizing the importance of tourism in driving local employment, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reiterated the state’s commitment to positioning Chhattisgarh as a leading tourist destination at the national level.
