The Vice President of India, Mr. Jagdeep Dhankhar, graced the farewell ceremony of Trainee IAS Officers (2023 batch) with his presence at the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand.
While addressing the ceremony, he advised the trainee officers to imbibe excellence, integrity and commitment towards civil service which are rudimentary in shaping the nation.
During his speech, VP Dhankar said, “My young friends, you and your colleagues in civil services have contributed to this revolution (speaking about GoI’s efforts at development) silently. You will have the occasion to contribute passively. It will be mostly in silence but trust me, when accomplishment is effected in silence, it resonates in the ears of the common man and one and all.”
He concluded by saying, “May you continue to inspire others, and mind you, all of you are role models for your families, for your friends, for your community, for your area, and you will be even role model where you will be positioned at a particular place for a particular work and, therefore, inspire others with your commitment and always strive to make a positive difference in the lives of those around you.”
