WB: Significant Bureaucratic Reshuffle, IAS Roshni Sen Made ACS, Fisheries

The government of West Bengal lately carried out a significant bureaucratic reshuffle by transferring six IAS and one IPS officer across the state.

Mr. Choten Dhendup Lama (1999 batch IAS officer), last posted as the Principal Secretary in the Tribal Development Department with an additional charge of Principal Secretary of the Non-Conventional & Renewable Energy Department, has been made the Principal Secretary of the North Bengal Development Department.

Mr. Gulam Ali Ansari (2000 batch IAS officer), last posted as Divisional Commissioner in the Malda Division, was transferred and posted in the Department of Minority Affairs & Madrasah Education with an additional charge as Divisional Commissioner of the Malda Division.

Ms. Roshni Sen (1993 batch IAS officer), last posted as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Environment Department with additional charge as Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources and Fishing Harbour, and CMD of WBIDC, was transferred and posted as Additional Chief Secretary, Fisheries, Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources and Fishing Harbour Department with an additional charge of CMD, WBIDC.

Mr. Barun Kumar Ray (1992 batch IAS officer), last posted as the Additional Chief Secretary of the Labour Department, has been made Additional Chief Secretary in the Non-Conventional & Renewable Energy Sources Department.

Mr. Jagdish Prasad Meena (2004 batch IAS officer), last posted as Divisional Commissioner of the Presidency Division, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms with additional charges of Secretary, Correctional Administrative Department and Divisional Commissioner, Presidency Division.

Mr. Avanindra Singh (2002 batch IAS officer), last posted as Divisional Commissioner in the Bardhaman Division, has been made Secretary in the Labour Department with additional charge as Divisional Commissioner of Bardhaman Division.

Mr. Rajesh Kumar (1990 batch IPS officer), last posted as Member Secretary in the West Bengal Pollution Control Board, has been given additional charge as the Principal Secretary of the Environment Department.
