Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday distributed appointment letters to 932 candidates selected through the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) for 21 government departments.
The ceremony was held at Lok Bhavan in Lucknow, where candidates selected under the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination 2024 received their official postings.
Transparent Recruitment Process Highlighted by CM
The Chief Minister praised the UPPSC for conducting a fair, transparent, and merit-based recruitment process.
He said that candidates selected through honesty, hard work, and talent are best suited to contribute to governance and development.
He also congratulated the selected candidates and their families on the achievement.
9 Lakh Government Jobs Since 2017
CM Yogi stated that since 2017, around 9 lakh government jobs have been provided in Uttar Pradesh.
He emphasized that the recruitment process has become:
- Transparent
- Fair and merit-based
- Free from corruption and irregularities
He added that only honest selection leads to true progress in governance.
Strong Message on Merit vs Corruption
The Chief Minister strongly criticized earlier recruitment systems, saying that corruption, favoritism, and financial influence previously affected hiring processes.
He said such practices harm governance and push development backward, while merit-based selection strengthens the state.
Role of New Officers in Governance
Addressing the newly appointed officers, CM Yogi said that administrative officials play a key role in implementing government policies and development programs.
He added that the success of governance depends on efficient execution at the ground level.
He advised officers to:

- Maintain discipline and efficiency
- Build a strong foundation in the first 10 years of service
