‘Aspirants’ is a web series on Amazon Prime which is fast becoming popular among UPSC aspirants, as also with the youths who look up to civil service as an ideal career choice.
However, IAS officer Manuj Jindal, who regularly posts tips on how to give the UPSC exam, especially CSE, is of the view that serious aspirants should not watch it. Why? Because they should spend that time in studying or else in relaxing in other ways, like taking a walk or meditating.
Taking to social media platform X, the officer, who is currently posted in Thane as CEO Zila Parishad, wrote that watching web series taxes the mind more and leaves one feeling tired rather than relaxed.
His post has invited a lot of comments, some differing with the officer’s view. Some commentators wrote that it is okay to watch television series to relax for a while while some agree with the officer that an aspirant is better off without such distractions.
