IAS officer Prashant Lokhande has shared a photograph from Arunachal Pradesh, where he is posted, that shows beautiful traditional shawls made by the Mishmi tribe being used for decoration in Ganesh Festival.
He wrote while posting the photo on X, “These beautiful Mishmi shawls of Arunachal have become part of our Ganapati Festival decoration for years. State is gifted with hundreds of unique invaluable textile designs of tribes integrated to culture and proudly passed from one generation to other. Ganapati Bappa Moraya.”
