2007 batch IAS officer Suhas L Yathiraj, a professional para-badminton player and a silver medalist at Tokyo 2020 Paralympics has been featured in Limca Book of Records 2023.
In his tweet, he wrote, “Proud to be featured in the Limca book of records 2023.”
Many twitter users has congratulated the officer for his feature and also for his new assignment as Secretary of the Sports Department.
In November 2021, Mr Suhas was conferred with the Arjuna Award by then President Ram Nath Kovind at a special ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan in New Delhi. He received UP’s Lakshman Award on January 24, 2023. He also received the Yash Bharti award in December 2016. Earlier, he has served as the district magistrate in Prayagraj, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Sonbhadra, Hathras and Maharajganj. He has been honored with many awards by the Central and State Government.
