In a proud moment for Chhattisgarh, the state has been selected to present its tableau at the upcoming Ekta Parade 2025 to be held in Ekta Nagar, Gujarat, on the occasion of National Unity Day (October 31). The parade is organized annually to mark the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, symbolizing national unity and integration.
The selection was announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, which released the list of final tableaux from various states and organizations. Alongside Chhattisgarh, entries from Jammu and Kashmir, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Manipur, Uttarakhand, Puducherry, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, as well as key national agencies such as the NDRF and NSG, were also selected.
Showcasing Bastar’s Cultural Renaissance and Developmental Progress
The Chhattisgarh tableau will highlight the transforming identity of Bastar, a region known for its deep-rooted tribal culture, folk art, and rich natural heritage. The tableau will depict Bastar’s evolution from a traditionally tribal region to one embracing inclusive development while preserving its cultural soul.
Through this initiative, the state seeks to reflect the national identity of folk traditions and the inclusive spirit of unity in diversity—a message deeply rooted in India’s constitutional values.
Chief Minister Hails Recognition of Cultural Diversity
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Mr. Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated the Public Relations Department and other stakeholders involved in the tableau’s design and presentation. He shared on social media:
“The selection of our tableau is a symbol of national recognition for Chhattisgarh’s cultural richness, folk heritage, and developmental journey. It is a matter of pride that the message of unity in diversity will be conveyed through Bastar’s evolving identity at such a prestigious national platform.”
Cultural Pride Meets National Recognition
The tableau aligns with the government’s vision to promote regional identities at national events, strengthening cultural diplomacy and internal unity. For Chhattisgarh, participation in Ekta Parade 2025 not only enhances its national visibility but also affirms its role in India’s federal mosaic of cultures.
This year’s theme of unity, heritage, and transformation aligns with Chhattisgarh’s current trajectory — celebrating its indigenous roots while embracing modern development.
