The Government of Gujarat has announced the second edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) for the Kutch & Saurashtra region, scheduled for January 8-9, 2026, in Rajkot. The event aims to foster regional industrial growth, MSME development, and sectoral innovation across Gujarat’s western belt.
Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition to Run Alongside Conference
In conjunction with VGRC 2026, the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Exhibition (VGRE) will be held from January 8-11 at the same venue. The exhibition will provide an enhanced platform for industries, MSMEs, government bodies, and entrepreneurs to network, showcase innovations, and engage with investors.
Focus on Key Growth Sectors
According to Gujarat CMO, the VGRC 2026 will spotlight high-potential sectors including ceramics, engineering, ports and logistics, fisheries, petrochemicals, agro and food processing, and minerals. The conference will facilitate strategic partnerships, policy support, and investor engagement to accelerate industrial development while ensuring sustainable and inclusive growth.
Larger and More Impactful Event Than Ever
Building on the success of the first North Gujarat edition—which featured six thematic pavilions, over 410 exhibitors including 170 MSMEs, and attracted more than 80,000 visitors—the Kutch & Saurashtra edition will span over 20,000 square meters across six state-of-the-art domes. The exhibition will integrate sectoral showcases, innovation platforms, and business networking opportunities to maximize regional impact.
Diverse Participation Across Industries and Government Agencies
VGRE 2026 will feature companies and institutions from agro, food processing, fisheries, renewable energy, engineering, ports and logistics, handlooms and handicrafts, chemicals, petrochemicals, banks, financial institutions, and educational institutions. Key government departments including the Energy and Petrochemicals Department, Agriculture Department, Gujarat Energy Development Agency, Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation, Forest Department, Gujarat Maritime Board, Education Department, Gujarat Pollution Control Board, Tourism Department, and Startup Incubators will actively participate.
Showcasing Traditional Strengths and MSME Innovation
A dedicated Crafts Village and active participation from local MSMEs will highlight the region’s traditional craftsmanship and entrepreneurial capabilities. The exhibition will host initiatives such as the Vendor Development Programme, Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet, and Udyami Mela to create market linkages and global outreach for local MSMEs, artisans, and handloom enterprises. A daily lucky draw will also engage visitors and enhance the experience.
High-Impact Platform for Collaboration and Economic Growth
Leading industry captains, entrepreneurs, agri-business leaders, academic institutions, artisans, and women entrepreneurs from Kutch and Saurashtra are expected to attend, making VGRE 2026 a high-impact platform for innovation, collaboration, and regional economic development. The event underscores Gujarat’s commitment to inclusive development, strengthening MSMEs, and promoting sectoral excellence.
