Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: The National Security Guard (NSG), in collaboration with various security forces of Madhya Pradesh, launched a comprehensive “Capacity Building Training and Demonstration” program at the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal today. The event showcased realistic mock terrorist attacks and highlighted the coordinated response and procedures adopted by the forces.
Realistic Counter-Terror Exercises Impress Audience
The NSG commandos demonstrated advanced tactics, including hostage rescue, building breach operations using the “Spider-Man” technique, and neutralizing simulated threats. Their highly trained K-9 units stole the show:
- K-9 Joro subdued terrorists and retrieved weapons.
- K-9 Roger assisted the bomb squad in detecting and neutralizing explosives.
Additional demonstrations included martial arts displays, “Ring of Fire,” tile-breaking, and block-breaking techniques, thrilling spectators with the commandos’ agility and precision.

Training Program to Strengthen State Security
The month-long training program, running until May 7, will include personnel from:
- Madhya Pradesh Police
- Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS)
- Counter Terrorism Group (CTG)
- Special Task Force (STF)
- Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS)
- VIP security staff
Training modules include counter-terrorism, counter-drone operations, VIP protection, sniper training, hostage negotiation, tactical driving, and specialized canine operations. Only trained personnel will be deployed for high-risk assignments.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav Applauds Forces
During the inauguration, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav praised the NSG commandos, comparing their bravery and skills to Bajrangbali, and highlighted the state’s investment in security:
- CTG Training Center: A dedicated center for counter-terror operations will be set up in Tumda, Bhopal.
- Budget Allocation: Rs. 200 crore approved for the project.
The Chief Minister also emphasized the eradication of Naxalism in the state and credited the security forces for maintaining peace and stability in Madhya Pradesh.

CM Yadav hailed NSG as India’s “security shield,” noting that these commandos inspire confidence in citizens during crises. He stressed that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, India’s armed forces are equipped to neutralize threats proactively while maintaining national security and public safety.
