Jhansi: More than ₹11 crore has been transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to the bank accounts of around 1,200 beneficiaries from Jhansi, Kanpur and Chitrakoot Dham divisions, the Uttar Pradesh government said.
The transfers were announced during a dairy conclave held in Jhansi on September 11, which focused on women’s participation and entrepreneurship in dairy development and their contribution to the dairy economy.
₹13.5 Crore Released Under Milk Policy
The conclave also saw the release of ₹13.5 crore for various projects under Uttar Pradesh’s 2022 Milk Policy in the three divisions.
The funding was separate from the more than ₹11 crore transferred to beneficiaries through the Nand Baba Milk Mission, according to Uttar Pradesh Dairy Commissioner Dhanalakshmi K.
22 Milk Cooperatives Receive Registration Certificates
A total of 22 newly formed multipurpose milk cooperatives were handed official registration certificates during the event.
The conclave brought together more than 1,000 cattle rearers, farmers and aspiring dairy entrepreneurs from the Bundelkhand region. More than 70% of the participants were women, according to the Dairy Commissioner.

Dairy Technology and Services Showcased
The conclave also featured demonstrations of modern dairy equipment and services at stalls set up by institutions and organisations including Parag, Balini, Namaste India, Bhole Baba, Samarthya and Indian Bank.
The event was attended by Uttar Pradesh Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Dharm Pal Singh. The organisers also connected farmers across the state through digital platforms, including YouTube and webcast.
