Chief Minister Mr. Pushkar Singh Dhami arrived in Haldwani on a one-day visit and was received at the Gaulapar helipad by the District Magistrate, SSP, and local MLAs with a bouquet. Mr. Narendra Mehra, State President of Kisan Morcha and progressive farmer, presented sugarcane to the Chief Minister, expressing gratitude for the government’s decision to increase the support price of sugarcane.
Engaging with Ex-Servicemen at Kathgodam CRPF Center
Mr. Dhami attended a conference of ex-servicemen at the CRPF Center in Kathgodam. Addressing the veterans, he highlighted that soldiers remain unique even after their service, contributing significantly to society. He expressed deep emotional connection with soldiers and their families during every visit.
Enhanced Welfare and Honors for Brave Soldiers
The Chief Minister announced unprecedented increases in ex-gratia payments to honor soldiers. He shared plans for building honor gates at martyr memorials to inspire future generations. Additionally, a provision to appoint members of martyr families to government service has been successfully implemented, with 28 families already benefiting under this initiative.
Freeing Over 10,000 Acres of Land from Illegal Encroachments
Mr. Dhami highlighted that more than 10,000 acres of government land in Uttarakhand have been freed from illegal encroachments to strengthen law and order. He emphasized continuous government efforts to ensure proper land utilization and prevent irregularities across the state.
Uttarakhand Becomes First State to Implement Uniform Civil Code
The Chief Minister reiterated that Uttarakhand has become the first state in India to implement a Uniform Civil Code. He underlined that maintaining law and order, fulfilling government promises, and prioritizing public welfare remain central to the administration’s agenda.
