The initiative aims to strengthen rural economies and reduce urban congestion, while providing citizens a sustainable lifestyle in their native regions.
Crackdown on Illegal Land Encroachments
CM Dhami emphasized that removing illegal encroachments on government land is being pursued at a war footing.
Over 10,000 hectares of land have already been freed from encroachments, ensuring better management of public resources.
He added that previous governments did not take serious steps to curb illegal settlements and misuse of land for religious structures or rental profits.
The government is also identifying those who provide protection to encroachers and will take strict action against them.
Comprehensive verification of voter lists, Aadhaar cards, ration cards, and electricity connections is being carried out to identify intruders residing unlawfully in the state.
Focus on Safety and Governance
CM Dhami underlined that ensuring safety and security for citizens is the government’s top priority.
“After the verification is complete, those found to be intruders will automatically be removed from the state. We do not want to leave the coming generations in any kind of insecurity,” he said.
These efforts are part of the administration’s mission to create a balanced and secure environment for Uttarakhand’s residents.
Healthcare and Mining Development Initiatives
Mr. Dhami revealed that a feasibility study for establishing a women’s hospital in Bageshwar is underway.
If the report is favorable, the hospital will provide essential medical services to women in the district.
He also highlighted the success of the new mining policy, which generated over 1,200 crore in revenue in just one year.
Strict control and transparency have contributed to this unprecedented growth.
The Excise Department’s improved performance earned bonuses of 100 crore each from the Government of India on two occasions.
Empowering Women and Advancing State Development
CM Dhami stressed that the Uniform Civil Code would bring significant benefits to women in Uttarakhand.
He also reiterated the special bond between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttarakhand, citing the PM’s vision that the 21st century will belong to the state.
“Our goal is to make Uttarakhand the best state in the country as soon as possible,” he affirmed, signaling a roadmap for rapid development and prosperity.
