His empanelment as Additional Secretary was confirmed in May 2022, following a distinguished career in various capacities in the government.

Prior to his current role, Longjam Siddhartha Singh held the position of Joint Secretary in the Department of Sports, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, where he was instrumental in managing key administrative and financial responsibilities.

The extension of his tenure reflects the government’s confidence in his leadership and financial management expertise, especially critical in the defence sector.

Sanjeev Jain Appointed as Principal Executive Director – Accounts, Railway Board
In related administrative developments, Sanjeev Jain, IRAS (HAG), currently serving as Principal Financial Adviser – North Eastern Railway, has been appointed as the Principal Executive Director – Accounts at the Railway Board.
