A young IPS officer who has been in service for only 3 years is already giving nightmares to criminals. Within a short span of time, she has taken such initiatives that have terrified criminals and have benefited the common people. Not just the public, she has broken the perception of gender equality within her own department too. As a result of her initiative, women now work in all such departments in Bulandshahr Police which were earlier viewed as men bastions. The women police now ride powerful bikes and are called ‘Bike Wali Police Didis’.
A 2020-batch IPS officer, Ms. Anukriti Sharma ensures gender equality in all policing duties, wherever she gets posted. Recently transferred to Sambhal as ASP, her bold actions and leadership are already making the police force more efficient and people friendly.
While still posted in Bulandshahr. she had cracked one of the biggest real estate frauds in the district, where hundreds of people had been cheated in a case of land buying.
In this exclusive video interview to Indian Masterminds, she talks about this case and all her initiatives that are bringing changes in common people’s life. Apart from this, she also shares her interesting journey to civil services, from a scientist to IRS and now IPS.
