IAS Taroon Kapur’s Tenure As Advisor To PM Modi Extended By A Week

Mr. Tarun Kapoor, a 1987-batch IAS officer, had previously served as the Petroleum Secretary to the GoI

Amidst a recent development, Mr. Tarun Kapoor (1987-batch IAS officer), the incumbent Advisor to the Prime Minister, was granted a week-long extension in office. Mr. Kapoor was set to conclude his tenure on May 2, 2024.

Prior to his present designation in the PMO, Mr. Kapoor was posted as the Chairman of the Petrol & Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB) and retired from the service as the Petroleum Secretary in 2021.
