EdCIL Boosts Rural Education with New Classrooms and Sanitation Facilities in Varanasi School

New Delhi/Varanasi: In a significant step toward strengthening rural education infrastructure, EdCIL India Limited has inaugurated a Classroom Development Project along with a toilet block at Kisan Inter School on the outskirts of Varanasi.

The initiative, undertaken under the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aims to enhance both learning environments and hygiene standards for students in rural Uttar Pradesh.

Focus on Education and Hygiene

The project includes:

  • Development of modern classrooms
  • Construction of hygienic toilet facilities

These upgrades are expected to significantly improve access to quality education while ensuring a safe and clean environment for students.

Inauguration by Senior Education Ministry Official

The inauguration ceremony was graced by Govind Jaiswal, Joint Secretary at the Ministry of Education, who formally dedicated the new facilities in the presence of senior officials and local dignitaries.

The event highlighted the importance of collaborative efforts in improving grassroots education infrastructure.
