New Delhi: As many as 16 senior Indian Police Service (IPS) officers from different state and joint cadres have superannuated in April 2026, marking a significant transition in the country’s policing leadership.

The retiring officers represent a wide spectrum of cadres across India, reflecting decades of administrative and law enforcement experience.
