New Delhi: Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Bijay Kumar Mohanty has received the CSR Lifetime Achievement Award at BridgeBharat 2026 for his contribution to corporate social responsibility (CSR) and inclusive development.
The award was presented by Odisha Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati at a ceremony held in Bhubaneswar. The event was organised by the Odisha Corporate Foundation in collaboration with the Public Enterprise Department, Government of Odisha.
Award Recognises Over 27 Years of CSR Contribution
The CSR Lifetime Achievement Award recognises Dr. Mohanty’s more than 27-year contribution to CSR and inclusive development.
His work has covered several areas aimed at improving access to essential services and strengthening communities, particularly in underserved regions.
His contributions include the implementation of major initiatives such as:
- Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY)
- Saubhagya scheme
- Education and skill development initiatives
- Healthcare and rehabilitation programmes
- Access to safe drinking water
- Accessibility and support for vulnerable communities
These initiatives have helped extend essential services to underserved areas, including regions in the North-East.

Focus on Clean Energy and Inclusive Development
Dr. Mohanty said the recognition reaffirmed his belief that clean energy and inclusive development must go hand in hand.
Expressing gratitude for the honour, he dedicated the award to the shared vision of combining clean energy with inclusive development.
He also acknowledged the guidance and support extended by the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy, Secretary of the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, and the IREDA Board of Directors.
