NLC India Bags Gold at CSR TIMES Awards 2026 for Over 150 Rural Infrastructure Projects

New Delhi: NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has received the Gold Award at the CSR TIMES Awards 2026 for its CSR initiative, “Rural Infrastructure Development Projects.” The award recognises the company’s efforts to strengthen rural infrastructure and promote inclusive community development in its operational areas.

NLCIL received the award in the Rural & Infrastructure Development category.

NLC India Receives Gold Award for CSR Initiative

The award was presented during the 13th National CSR & ESG Summit – “Role of Responsible Businesses for Inclusive Bharat”, held in New Delhi on August 4, 2026.

The recognition highlights NLCIL’s sustained efforts to address infrastructure needs in rural communities through targeted CSR interventions.

The award was received on behalf of NLC India Limited by T. Chellam, DGM / Unit Head (CSR).

The award was presented by:

  • H.E. Ms. Sena Latif, Ambassador of Romania to India
  • Dr. Bhaskar Chatterjee, Former Secretary, Government of India

Over 150 Rural Infrastructure Projects Implemented

During FY 2025-26, NLCIL implemented more than 150 Rural Infrastructure Development projects across its operational areas.

The projects were aimed at improving access to essential facilities and strengthening basic infrastructure for local communities.

Key areas covered under the initiative include:

  • Safe drinking water
  • Sanitation facilities
  • Rural connectivity
  • Educational infrastructure
  • Healthcare facilities
  • Other essential community assets

Through these projects, the company focused on addressing local infrastructure requirements and supporting better living conditions in rural communities.

CSR Initiative Focuses on Inclusive Community Development

NLCIL said the recognition reflects its continued commitment to strengthening rural infrastructure and promoting inclusive community development.

The Rural Infrastructure Development Projects form part of the company’s broader CSR efforts to create sustainable social impact in and around its operational areas.The Gold Award at the CSR TIMES Awards 2026 provides recognition to NLCIL’s efforts to use its CSR initiatives to support essential infrastructure and community development.

NLC India’s CSR Efforts Recognised at National Platform

The CSR TIMES Awards recognition comes as NLCIL continues to undertake community-focused initiatives across its operational areas. The implementation of more than 150 projects during FY 2025-26 highlights the scale of the company’s rural infrastructure interventions, covering basic services, connectivity, education and healthcare.

The award also underscores the growing focus on responsible business practices and inclusive development.
