UPSC CSE-2023 Results Out: Top 2 Places Bagged By Boys, Aditya Srivastava AIR 1, Check Details Here

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the results of Civil Services Exam-2023. Lucknow’s Aditya Srivastava has topped the prestigious exam. Animesh Pradhan and Donuru Ananya A Reddy are second and third, respectively.

The top 25 successful candidates consisted of 10 women and 15 men, with diverse educational backgrounds ranging from engineering to humanities, Medical Science, Commerce, Architecture, Law from premier Institutions of the country such as IIT, IIM, NIT, University of Delhi, National Law University etc. Interestingly, 12 out of top 20 successful candidates are Engineers.

A total of 1016 candidates (664 men and 352 women) have been selected for the service this year, which is bigger in comparison to last year’s results which saw a total of 933 selected candidates.

Students can download their result in a pdf format on upsc.gov.in or upsconline.nic.in.

Mr Aditya Srivastava who secured the first position has qualified the examination with Electrical Engineering as his optional subject. He has done his graduation (B Tech.) in Electrical Engineering from IIT Kanpur.

Mr Animesh Pradhan, a graduate (B Tech.) in Computer Science from NIT Rourkela, secured second rank with Sociology as his optional subject.

Ms. Donuru Ananya Reddy, a graduate [B.A. (Hons.) Geography] from Miranda House, Delhi University stood third in the rank with Anthropology as her optional subject.

Top 25 successful candidates have opted for subjects like Anthropology, Chemistry, Geography, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Law, History, Mathematics, Physics, Political Science & International Relations and Sociology as their optional choice in the Written (Main) Examination.

The prestigious UPSC CSE-2023 preliminary exam was held on May 28, 2023, and the results of the examination were released on June 22. The main examination was held from September 15, 16, 17, 23, and 24, 2023, with sessions running from 9 am to 12 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm, and the results were declared on December 8, 2023. The Interview round conducted in three phases, which began on Janaury 04, 2024 were concluded on April 09, 2024.

As many as 13,00,000 candidates applied for the country’s most prestigious UPSC CSE examination. A total number of 14,624 candidates qualified for the Main (written) exam. Of them, 2,834 candidates qualified for the Interview, which means only 19.37% of candidates qualified for the Interview round.

How to download the UPSC CSE-2023 Results

Step 1: Visit the UPSC official website – upsc.gov.in or https://upsconline.nic.in/

Step 2: On the homepage, click on Final Result – Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2023 link available on the home page

Step 3: The final result in the pdf format will appear on the screen

Step 4: Check the Result and Roll number and download the page, For search Press keyboard shortcut Ctrl + F & search your name or roll number

Step 5: Qualified candidates can keep a hard copy of the same for further need

The recommended candidates also include 30 Persons with Benchmark Disability (16 Orthopedically Handicapped, 06 Visually Challenged, 05 Hearing Impaired & 03 Multiple Disabilities).

This year, out of the 1,105 vacancies which also include 37 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category, 180 vacancies are for Indian Administrative Service (IAS), 200 for Indian Police Service (IPS), 37 for Indian Foreign Services (IFS) and 295 for Indian Revenue Services (IRS). There are also 150 vacancies for the newly introduced service – the Indian Railway Management Service (IRMS).

The UPSC Civil Services Examination is one of the most prestigious and toughest examinations in India, conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) to recruit suitable candidates for 21 civil services of India including IAS, IPS, IFS, and other allied services.
