Against all odds, a dream that eluded the father due to unforeseen circumstances has now been realized by the daughter of a family hailing from Uttarakhand’s picturesque Chamoli district. In a feat that resonates with determination and grit, Mudra Gairola emerged triumphant in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022, securing an impressive All India Rank 53. This achievement has opened the doors to a prestigious position in the coveted Indian Administrative Service (IAS).

Mudra’s journey towards a career in civil services began from a young age, fuelled by an unwavering desire to become an IAS or IPS officer. Her dedication and commitment were showcased in 2021 when she secured the 165th rank in the UPSC examination, securing a spot in the IPS.

Despite facing challenges along the way, she remained resolute in her pursuit of success. Her relentless efforts and hard work bore fruit as she clinched the 53rd rank in the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022, a testament to her determination and dedication.

BRILLIANT STUDENT

Mudra’s academic brilliance shone throughout her educational journey, evident in her outstanding performance in the CBSE board examinations. She secured top positions with an impressive 96% in the Class 10 and an exceptional 97% in the Class 12 board exams.

After completing her schooling, she pursued a degree in Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS), where she not only excelled academically but also earned a gold medal for her exceptional performance. Despite her achievements in the field of dentistry, her passion for civil services led her to embark on the challenging UPSC journey.

FULFILLING FATHER’S DREAM

Her success story is not only a reflection of her determination but also a tribute to the unwavering support and inspiration provided by her family. Her father, Arun Gairola, harboured his own aspiration of entering the civil services, which remained unfulfilled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Mr. Gairola’s unwavering determination to see his children succeed in the realm he couldn’t venture into has played a pivotal role in shaping Mudra’s journey. With her father’s guidance and unwavering encouragement, Mudra has transformed their shared dream into reality by becoming an IAS officer.

Mudra’s has now joined the prestigious Lal Bahadur Shastri Academy in Mussoorie, Dehradun, for IAS training.
