At a time when unemployment is causing frustration among the educated youth, for whom a government job seems like a distant dream, hearing about someone who got offers for several government jobs is hard to believe. Yes, Indian Masterminds today brings to you the unbelievable success story of Shubham Tripathi who got 8 government jobs on the strength of his hard work and dedication. The 28 year old from Prayagraj district of Uttar Pradesh is an inspiration to those frustrated by failure and unemployment. On the strength of his hard work and self-study, he has managed to get eight government jobs so far in this tough competition era.

Presently, he is working as Statistical Officer in Delhi Secretariat. He cleared the Indian Statistical Service Examination (ISSE) of the Union Public Service Commission with 40th rank in 2020. Soon, he is going to be posted as Assistant Director in the ministry.

BEGINNING OF SUCCESS

Shubham Tripathi is originally a resident of Om Gayatri Nagar in Prayagraj. He comes from a poor family and got selected under EWS quota. He has done MSc from Allahabad University. After completing his MSc in the year 2016, he spent a few days in Lucknow preparing for competitive exams. Then in 2018, he worked as a consultant in NCERT. Soon after, he passed the DSSSB examination and joined the post of Statistical Officer in Delhi.

Earlier, he was also the District Economic and Statistical Officer in Uttarakhand. Apart from this, he also got success in Rajasthan Public Service Commission examination thrice and once in Telangana PCS examination. The special thing is that he never took coaching to be successful in these exams. He just went to the library regularly and studied hard on his own.

SUGGESTIONS FOR ASPIRANTS

Advising the students on preparation, Shubham said that there is no shortcut to success. If you want to be a long race horse, then just work hard, but in a smart way. If you feel hopeless, give yourself some time and take a break.

“Set a goal to be successful. You should clearly know your goal. Sometimes success slips when you are at multipurposes. There are many job opportunities, especially for those studying statistics. There are possibilities in the government as well as the private sector. Family members also should not put the burden of their expectations on you. They should let you choose what you want,” he said.
